Our Community
The Starfish Coaching Program believes that healing leads to empowerment—and
empowered women transform communities.
For the first 15 years of our program, Starfish participants were invited to give back
individually, applying what they had learned to make meaningful, personal contributions
in their own communities. This act of giving was not just service—it was an affirmation
of their strength, resilience, and self-worth.
Today, this spirit of contribution has evolved. What began as individual acts of kindness
and leadership has grown into a collective movement. The women of Starfish, in
partnership with the Starfish Graduates Group, now join forces to engage in group-
led give back efforts, amplifying their impact and modeling collaboration, confidence,
and purpose.
As The Starfish Rise
Through this initiative, participants discover that they are not helpless—they are powerful. They come to see themselves not only as survivors, but as thriving leaders, capable of shaping the world around them.
Their work includes organizing community outreach, and developing projects that inspire and uplift women individually and a community as a whole.As the Starfish rise, they redefine what it means to give back—no longer from a place of scarcity, but from a place of strength and solidarity. They are not just apart of the community—they are essential to it.
